This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service, including our integration with the Meta WhatsApp Business Cloud API. 2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account Information: Name, email address, company name, and password when you register.
- WhatsApp Message Data: Message content, sender and recipient phone numbers, and timestamps processed via the Meta WhatsApp Business Cloud API on behalf of your business.
- Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and feature usage for analytics and service improvement.
- Business Data: WhatsApp Business Account IDs, phone number IDs, and webhook configurations.
3. Meta Cloud API and WhatsApp Data
Jastrok integrates directly with the official Meta WhatsApp Business Cloud API. When you connect your WhatsApp Business Account, Meta transmits message events to our platform via webhooks. We process this data solely to provide the service you subscribed to. We do not sell WhatsApp message content to third parties. Your use of WhatsApp through Jastrok is also subject to Meta's own Privacy Policy and WhatsApp Business Platform policies.
4. Legal Basis and GDPR Compliance
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, our legal basis for collecting and using personal information under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) includes:
- Contractual necessity: Processing required to deliver the service you requested.
- Legitimate interests: Security monitoring, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
- Consent: Where you have explicitly opted in, such as marketing communications.
- Legal obligation: Compliance with applicable laws.

5. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We retain personal data and WhatsApp message history for as long as your business account is active and subscribed to Jastrok, in order to provide you with your complete chat history and analytics. If you cancel your subscription or request account deletion, all associated data, including WhatsApp message logs, will be permanently and securely deleted from our databases within 30 days, unless longer retention is required to comply with legal obligations.
6. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers such as cloud infrastructure and analytics under strict data processing agreements. We may disclose data when required by law or to protect our rights. In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
